COKIN NUANCES Extreme Hard Kit inc. GND4/GND8/GND16 Hard Filters Made of Resistant Mineral Glass for L Size (Z-Pro) 100mm Filter-Holder System

The Graduated hard transition kit contains a Nuances Extreme neutral degraded GND4 filter, a GND8 filter and a GND16 filter, all 3 have a hard transition, i.e. very short between the densest filter (ND8 or 3 absorption stops) and the most transparent part. A GND8 filter with a hard transition is especially necessary when using a long focal length or a digital camera equipped with an M4/3 sensor. The use of a graduated filter with a very fast transition is also suitable for a landscape with a very bright background such as a sky, which has a straight line boundary with a darker foreground. A typical example is a horizon line over the ocean that is part of a view for which we want to densify the sky homogeneously. In terms of robustness, the NUANCES Extreme filters are made of a very resistant tempered mineral glass that can withstand an accidental drop, depending on the tilt of the filter. Just like our previous Nuances Extreme Kits, the new ND DEGRADÉ Hard Transition Kit is available in our 3 sizes M, L and XL. For the L size model (100mm wide filters), we recommend using the Cokin NX-Series filter holder. In this case, each filter requires a metal frame, which is available individually (ref. FR143NXS) or in a kit of 2 (ref. FRD03NXS).
