This is the fifth of at least seven volumes of EMI early stereophonic recordings, released in a joint venture with the Archive of Recorded Sound (ARS). EMI started to record in stereo in 1954 and all the recordings in this series are from this historic period of recorded music. All the releases will appear for the first time in some form and feature many of the greatest classical artists of the time.
This programme of neglected early stereo recordings presents three superb virtuosi, close contemporaries, who all brought the warmth and pliancy of Mediterranean culture to their performances, combining these qualities with the rigour of their musical training. The first three concertos feature Italian soloists and conductors and the fourth showcases a husband-and-wife team, guaranteeing a rare degree of congruence.

Promo video: https://youtu.be/G8_e511eSas

ARTISTS
Rebato Zanfini, i Virtuosi di Roma, Renato Fasano
Amedeo Baldovino, The Pro Arte Orchestra, Fernando Previtali
Gina Bachauer, London Orchestra, Alec Sherman
