Andersen hinged door handle extender - satin nickel finish works with frenchwood hinged (in-swing and out-swing) patio doors from 1999 to present. Door handles manufactured prior to 1999 arepatible. Replacing the interior handle will be necessary if extender is used. This extender is often used when space is needed for window treatments. Each extender adds one inch to the distance between the door handle and the door panel. You will also need a longer spindle to make this work. If using one extender a 4-3/4" spindle is needed. See part number 2578931. If using two extenders a 5-3/4" spindle is needed. See part number 2578932. The standard spindle length is 3-3/4".
